Al Qadsiah are offering a hefty €15 million commission, though David's agent is demanding €25 million.
For the team Juventus, the hunt for a new centre-forward this summer has taken several twists. Initially, they were in advanced talks with Canadian striker Jonathan David, a free agent after his stint at Lille. However, in a surprising move, Juventus shifted their focus to Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian forward, currently at Napoli, poses a significant financial challenge due to a €75 million release clause, which only applies to clubs outside Italy. For Juventus, direct negotiations with Napoli are now essential.
This pivot has opened the door for Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah to pursue Jonathan David more aggressively. Reports suggest the club is willing to offer David’s agent €15 million in commission, though his representative is demanding €25 million. They are also reportedly preparing a high salary offer for the striker.
Al Qadsiah was previously linked with Italy international Moise Kean, but the Fiorentina striker, who has a €52 million release clause, is not interested in a move to the Saudi Pro League at the moment. With Juventus potentially missing out on both Osimhen and David, the club’s striker plans for the 2025 season could take another unexpected turn depending on how talks evolve over the coming days.
